System Overview

Assessing the condition of a customer's skin is a very important step in a professional skin care consultation. In cooperation with a group of dermatologists, we've been able to develop a computer-aided procedure to determine, quantify and subsequently visualise the dryness of skin samples to aid dermatologists and beauty professionals alike in advising their customers.

This simple and pain-free method uses small discs with an adhesive coating to procure a small sample of the skin to be analysed, which is then digitised using a special computer microscope and processed by our SkinAnalyzer. This results in a simple score that is easy to evaluate and compare, either to scores from other customers or to scores obtained from the same customer at an earlier time, allowing professionals to quickly determine which products are best for any given customer.

The procedure is simple and fast:

• Apply foil to skin
• Remove foil after ten seconds
  
• Attach foil to the skin analysis card
• Start SkinAnalyzer software
• Take an image of the foil on the card and the programme will calculate your score.
